[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene came padding over, cooing a compliment in her usual soft tone. "Oh, what a lovely voice!" she smiled, a encourging look plastered onto her voice. "I'm impressed, really, Avalon." More praise the better for others, it always seemed to the feline.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene had joining BloodClan practically a week ago. The only people she could say she knew was Amour and Cinemapaw, then Serpentine. Three wasn't many, but it could be considered a crowd all the same. Olive eyes blinking as they scanned the area, the elegant she-cat decided to use her free-time for socializing.
May knew that others couldn't tell that she wanted to converse with just the simple action of looking around. So, her soft voice filled the air with that of a question, "Does anyone feel like talking a bit for the sake of it?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene got some replies, something she found quite wonderful. Actually, she was relieved she did; if no other verbal responses were given in return to hers, things could turned . . . awkward. Thank goodness that didn't happen, though. Smiling in a friendly manner, she went to greeting the fellow BloodClanners.
"Hello there, Nebulapaw, Sam, Raven, and Avalon!" she mewed, "I am Maylene. I joined about a week ago, so I don't have many to talk to, really." Which was true. After all, only three people could May really use for conversing. Turning towards Jasmine, she blinked her watery orbs of olive hue, "What is your name, miss?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]"Nice to meet you, Jasmine." To be honest, Maylene was more than happy not to call her miss. It got sort of boring and uncreative in ways, not to mention a bit too formal. With calling someone by there name, you could produce nicknames as well. That showed true friendship and liking in her opinion, when you enjoyed someone enough to give them a special identity to go by.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]"No, not yet. Most exciting thing all day I've done? You are experiencing it." Maylene frowned. The feline would have joined a border or hunting patrol, but she just found things sort of awkward when working with strangers. However, she'd make sure those people wouldn't remain strangers for long. "How about you? Had any events happen today?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]May simply continued to smile at Avalon, not really understand why she was embarrassed or sheepish. "A diary?" she repeated, raising and arching a non-existent eyebrow. "Made any entries?" The she-cat gave the much larger tiger a play nudge, a happy look plastered onto her face.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]This was weird, Maylene thought. Why the hell wasn't it hopping around stupidly like ther bunnies? Was it sick or something? The feline approached it rather cautiously, claws unsheathed and ready for action in case it broke out into a run. Though rabbits had a thing for keeping still, this seems a bit longer than usual.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]"Finally!" she cried, scurrying over to the water and not even bothering to take a look at it before bending down to drink. With every single swallow she felt even more better. Maylene was already enjoying the feeling of a throat that wasn't dry, for sure. She wouldn't be missing that or her scratchy, hoarse sounding voice.
May, after what was probably about two minutes of solid lapping, got back up from where she was lowered towards the ground to sip. She already felt more refreshed than before; the sudden and wonderful feeling felt indeed great. "I've been without water for what has seemed like forever." the feline murmured softly, relief weaved into her tone.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene merely glared at him harshly, not quite sure what to say or react. Why was he suddenly rude? Olive eyes determined to not tear away, she huffed rather quietly. The feline could have held her stare forever, but decided to redirect her gaze in some other direction. If Serpentine was going to be an ass, she wasn't going to look at him or say anything unless he asked something.
"You can continue showing me around." May muttered, ignoring the urge to look at the deputy while talking. Wasn't that what you were supposed to do with verbal interaction? Look at the one your words were directed to? It was obvious the she-cat wasn't too happy with Serps behavior, but she wouldn't dare admit so unless he went on and kept it up.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene needed to get out and about. That was something she was sure of. She couldn't just know Serpentine for the rest of her life, after all . . . Besides, he seemed sort of unfond of her right now. Or atleast, that was how she saw things through her olive eyes.
Seeing the cheetah, May remembered seeing him upon her joining. He seemed like a friendly face, even when it was all bloodied up with the red hue of a kill. What was it this time? Approaching casually and looking to the side to notice the fawn, she mewed, "Hows that fawn taste?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene rose an eyebrow, a teasing look glistening in her olive eyes. "Who do you think you're calling pretty, now?" Even if it was a bit hard to notice, she couldn't help but feel sort of flattered with his little comment.
Leaving not much time for a response, the lovely she-cat padded over to the body of the fawn, examining it briefly. It did look quite nice, she had to admit. Though, May never had ate a young deer before - surely they were good? After all, Cinemapaw seemed to act as if he was enjoying it. "Can you give me a chunk, hm?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene listened closely, storing all of the information into her head. She was quite sure she'd need it some day, be it for something simple or something important. She kept her word, not talking to the deputy unless a questioned was ask. However, May found it oddly hard not to talk to Serp.
His next question was actually rather surprising to her. Blinking her watery orbs of olive hue, she tilted her head to the side. "No . . . Why are you asking? I haven't ever been here before, Serpentine." It was true - the whole reason she truly came here was searching for water after having a unquenched thirst. If Maylene had been here before, surely the feline would have taken a stop here to begin with.
Damn, he was sort of a weird guy.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene's steps stopped for a moment as she looked at the prisoners, not understanding how they thought fighting would do them any good. If it was to survive, wouldn't one think that'd bring death upon them even quicker? Some people were born foolish, honestly.
Bringing her attention back to Serpentine, her previous thoughts about speaking slowly faded away. It got actually hard not to talk, so soon May just quit with trying to keep things up. Entering the cave, her maw barely opened in awe; this was the largest one the she-cat had been in of the sort. "It's quite roomy in here, really . . ." she whispered quietly, walking and talking as she followed behind Serp. "Thanks for the bit of information, mhm."
Silent had settled in briefly until the deputy had asked another question. Of course, she answered like any other would do. "I'll take you up on the offer, there." Maylene replied, ears twitching. Enough movement was done to barely make the pink flower, tucked gently behind her ear, to shift slightly.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene looked down at her ivory splashed paws as they rubbed against some of the furs. Her olive visionaries had never seen such pelts before; she truly found them exotic and beautiful. Especially the ones that were new to her eyes. Those made things even more better.
Her gaze remained to shift around the room, bouncing from place to place. "Its intriguing, Serpentine. I'm impressed, truly!" May exclaimed honestly, watery and glistening orbs landing on the shelves. She didn't give the feline a time to respond before popping out a question, "Whats that over there?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene was about to tell him just how brilliant that was, using the snake poison to benefit him. However, the single word he said next was what stopped the verbal action from being performed.
The she-cat arched a non-existent eyebrow, her head being cocked to the side ever-so slightly . . . barely noticeable. "Pardon me?" she mewed, tone sounding almost confused. May had no idea why he was saying what he was, nope. The femme had no idea, either, that such a mere action was able to break the tom before hers heart apart.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]"Serpentine? Are you alright?" Maylene questioned, glued to the spot. The she-cat didn't understand; what was even happening here? First he was completely fine with things, informing her about his poisons and stuff, but now he was being a rude ass again.
She took a few steps. Not towards the exit, but towards Serp. May didn't plan on leaving, not until she got some sort of damn good answer for this mess. What was going on, really? The fellow BloodClanner was so confused, her mind swirled.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Oh hell no. Did he considered that an answer right now? Because she sure didn't.
Maylene came practically stomping over, plopping down on the boar skin next to him. Gosh, the coarse hair of the tough hide felt . . . weird. Glaring at him with piercing olive visionaries, the she-cat poked him with a white paw - one of a set that looked as if they were dipped in paint of the color. It had a bit more of jabbing to it than average, but not much of a difference could be noticed.
"Serpentine," she started, "I asked a question. I didn't ask you to give me a pansy-ass 'I'm fine'. Lets try this again; be a bit more damn detailed. Are you alright?" May's fine coat was practically right next to the deputy's, enough to where she could feel warmth radiating off of him.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene's stern look slowly faded away, dissolving completely out of view. Honestly, she sort of found herself surprised the guy had a girlfriend; from what she experienced, wasn't he sort of an ass? Maybe he wasn't in the perkiest of moods or something. Shrugging it off mentally, the femme could tell her face was softening.
"How?" she questioned, using the only word that was able to leave her mouth out of millions. The lovely feline couldn't help but jump a bit upon feeling his chin upon her shoulder, but soon settled down after. In fact, after a bit, May was resting her head on top of his - as if it was a embrace or something, calming and soothing somehow.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]"Oh wow, the biggest damn liar yet!" Maylene's voice muttered, filling the air as she approached. Rolling her glistening, watery orbs of olive hue, her eyebrow arched at the sight of the canine. A glare set in as she sat down quietly, still as can be; as if she had been looking at the eyes of Medusa herself, turned into stone.
"So, you want a gold medal for being the most recent little shit?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 345px][justify][size=8]Maylene resisted at first as she felt him pull on her, but was soon in the spot where the deputy intended her to be. It was actually not as awkward as she expected; with the soft fur of the Maine Coon, it was probably the most comfortable she had ever been, honestly. Her olive orbs were hidden for a moment behind eyelids, not opening until about half a minute had passed and slipped by.
However, they only really opened when she heard Serpentine say something. To be specific, his last set of words. It was enough to get the femme to jerk upwards, her front paws propping her as the lower end of her body remained in contact with the ground. Though flattered, May wouldn't dare try and admit it - even if it was sort of obvious.
"What game are you trying to play here?"
